Huntingdon, Pennsylvania is home to Lake Raystown Family Camping Resort. The 100-acre campground has tent, RV, and cabin accommodations. It has free WiFi and a catch and release lake. There are also 60 acres of walking trails. There is also a marina and a golf course at the resort. This is the perfect place to bring your dog along if you're traveling with them.

The lake has two public beaches. The Seven Points is the ideal area to enjoy a sandy beach. You can rent a houseboat on the lake or hire a fisherman to take you out on the water. The lake also has a number museums that provide local history. For those of you with a taste for racing, the Hesston Speedway is a good bet.

You can't expect to find a luxurious RV or full-service cabin at the resort. However, you can expect to get a nice room for the money. Raystown Lake Family camping Resort offers many perks, including a catch-and-release pond, a marina and a swimming pool. There are also pet friendly rooms. It is also surrounded by the Blue Ridge Mountains, making it a beautiful drive.

The lake is also surrounded by a whopping 21,000 acres of public land, much of which is owned by the Army Corps of Engineers. The best of both the worlds is apparent when you consider the fact that the majority of the area is not open to residential development. However, there have been a few homes built and one fell off the hill without warning. Cool fact: The resort also has a dog park. The resort requires that pets be on a six-foot lead outside their vehicle.
