The campground is within walking distance of Pixie Mountain, Pixie Mountain, Mile High Swinging Bridge and the Beacon Heights Trail. It is an ideal location for a vacation especially in the fall season.

A few of the local attractions are the Crossnore Weavers and Gallery and the Avery County Museum. The nearby sugar creek gemmine is open during summer.

The campground's owners, who are extremely nice, have made numerous improvements since their arrival.
The campground is very peaceful and relaxing, despite being isolated. Their campground has been a success and the owners are now friends. Site rates are extremely affordable and you will find many discounts for the campground as well as other local businesses. The site offers both basic and fast WiFi. Although it was not strong enough to connect to all locations, the WiFi free of charge worked.
